Hanukkah is finally here and it is time to celebrate the 8 day long holiday! “Hanukkah” deriving from the Hebrew verb, meaning “to dedicate” is a blessed time of year spent with close family and friends. Decorate your home with menorah’s galore or hanging Stars of David to get ready for the much anticipated time of the year.  If you’re looking for a laugh, walk around your Hanukkah party with our Happy Hanukkah Hat and put a smile on everyone’s faces and let them know you’re in the spirit of Hanukkah.   Serve traditional Jewish food while enjoying your Sabbath dinner and reminiscing on the past year.  As your guests are enjoying their meals be sure to incorporate our Happy Hanukkah paper cups and napkins for easy clean up.  And then when the party is winding down and everyone is full and ready to light the menorah, gather round and recite your blessing as you and your family light the next candle on your menorah.  Typically three blessings are recited during this eight day festival.  On the first night of Hanukkah, Jewish families recite all three, on the following days they only recite the first two.  Depending on the family’s tradition, the blessings are either recited before or after the lighting of the candles. One the first night of Hanukkah, one light is lit on the right side of the Menorah, on the following night a light is places on the left side of the first candle and then lit.  This proceeds for the full eight days of the holiday.
